    Otto Schmalz
    PARIS - Otto Schmalz, 90, of Paris died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic War Veterans, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and the Polar Bears Association of World War II. Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris. Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris. He is survived by his wife, Freida; two daughters, Jeanette Frederick of Subiaco and Linda Ussery of Dickinson, Texas; a son, Larry Schmalz of Paris; a sister, Mary Schmitz of Paris; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Glynn Frederick, Brian Ussery and Ben, Joe, Mike and Dan Schmalz. Honorary pallbearers will be Catholic War Veterans.
