  He was born on May 17, 1954, son of Ben and Mary Jane (Small) Smithson in San Diego, Calif. He later moved to Alpha and attended Forest Park High School.
  He is survived by a son, Bradlee; two daughters, Erin and Jamie; his father, Ben; sister, Gayle and three brothers, Larry, Steve and Ken.
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Terri and his mother, Mary Jane.
  Cremation under the direction of Lindquist's Crematory and Funeral Directors in Ogden.
