    ELEANOR BONHAM DEEX, 97, passed away on June 3, 2006. She was the wife of the late Oliver J. Deex and the sister of the late Sr. Hilda Bonham, IHM. Upon graduation from Agnes Scott College in Alabama, Eleanor taught school for four years. She then worked for the Girl Scouts until WWII when she took a job with the Red Cross. She served overseas in England and France during the war. Upon returning home, she obtained a masters degree from the New York School of Social Work. Following graduation, she came to Cleveland in 1947 to be the director of the University Settlement House. She remained there until her retirement after her marriage to Mr. Deex in 1963. She was a loving and much loved grandmother. She moved to Judson Park Retirement Community in 1983 where she was active in community life and spent vacations traveling with her sister and visiting with her stepson and grand-children. There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, 2006 at Judson Park, Mansion House, 1801 Chestnut Hills Dr., Cleveland Hts., OH 44106. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Judson Park Retirement Community, 2181 Ambleside Dr., Cleveland, OH 44106, phone (216)-721-1234.
